WHY OWNER’S REPRESENTATIVE?

We’ve seen it all too often — the swell of excitement as a capital project gains approval to move forward... Quickly followed by the daunting and often overwhelming reality of what that capital project will mean for you, the busy leader. You face the pressure of remaining fiscally responsible, legally sound, and publicly accountable. Your task list has suddenly become uncharted territory. Oftentimes, it’s hard to know when you’re going two steps forward, or five steps back. That’s where ORB comes in. We have the skills to provide data-driven solutions for the physical, functional and financial metrics that lead to a successful project — a mix we’ve coined the “sweet spot”.

WHAT IS AN

owner’s representative?

An owner's representative (owner's rep) is an industry expert hired by the owner or leader of a building or facility project to act as an advocate during the planning, design, construction and closeout process. With numerous inherent risks associated with development, a lack of in-house knowledge, time, and resources often results in costly roadblocks that hinder long-term success. When challenges arise, it may be unclear to an owner which parties have their best interests in mind. Engaging the services of an owner's representative is the smart way to mitigate risk, manage opinions and objectives, and get to your end goal as smoothly as possible.

The Orb

goal alignment

We use an integrated, three-pronged strategy to deliver optimal results. By considering financial, physical, and functional goals in equal measure, we make sure nothing slips through the cracks. Capital projects are complex and can be difficult to navigate. We help you establish an environment of trust and accountability, while maintaining alignment across all stakeholders. We take into consideration your current resources, technology, and processes, while also evaluating and proposing new solutions. We believe there are many avenues to success, and our methodology defines a clear path forward. We then help you get stakeholders - whether that be board members, consumers, or community members - in alignment.
