With the continued success of Foundation Hall and enrollment growth at Alexandria Technical & Community College (ATCC), the need for additional on-campus housing was evident. It was prudent for the Foundation to do its due diligence to ensure a second, turn-key solution was feasible. With a trusted relationship already established on the first student housing project, the ATCC Foundation reached out to ORB to assist with market research and all aspects of the project as their Owner’s Representative and development partner.

In collaboration with the ATCC Foundation, ORB facilitated project strategy, help select a strategic team, coordinated the financing, and brought their plan to fruition.  With time being of the essence, ORB ensured the J.A. Wedum Foundation Hall opened on time, as scheduled, and within the established budget and pro forma metrics in the Fall of 2024 for the academic year.  The new, 60,000 square foot student housing facility features studio units and two-bedroom apartments to house an additional 150 students for the college. The facility provides safe and affordable on-campus housing for ATCC students.
